Low Carb pinwheels
Our low carb pinwheels are a great way to eat healthy and still enjoy the great flavors of meat and veggies rolled into one. This recipe is very easy and quick to make. The best part is that you can add any type of veggies of your choice. Asparagus is also a good choice to roll into it. You can also make each individual pinwheel spicy or not. So if you have picky eaters in the house its easy to use this one recipe for a household filled with different tastebuds.
- Flank steak or Milanese Steak (thin flat steak)
- Small can of Tomato Paste
- Leafy Spinach
- Provolone Cheese slices
- Spices (salt, pepper, oregano, red pepper flakes if you like it spicy)
Start by laying out the flat steak and salt/pepper each side of the steak. Then with a butter knife, spread the tomato paste like it was butter on the top of each steak. Lay on your cheese slices to each steak then add in your veggies. Add your spices within. Once each steak is completed roll the longest end to reach the other end to create a roll/log. Use toothpicks to hold together and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Take out of the oven and let cool. Then you may opt to slice the individual steaks into pinwheels or just serve as a complete rolled steak. Enjoy! Bon Appetite!
